Path Planning Automated Guided Robot
نویسنده
چکیده
This project concerns the design and fabrication of the Automated Guided Robot (AGR) prototype, utilizing genetic algorithm (GA) as a mainframe in helping the robot to generate a self-understanding of the area of work and mobilization to a destination desired by the user. The main objective of this project is to create and develop a Path Planning Mobile Robot able to avoid obstacles in its path and reach a target designated position from its starting point utilizing 4 wheel-based rover body, sensors, linear motors and microcontrollers. The paper describes the design process of the AGR development, from the initiation of idea to development of algorithms, to virtual prototype development of AGR mechanisms and controller board, to fabrication, to mobility, obstacle avoidance and path planning test. Two methods of path planning are presented, using compass bearing in undetermined space and predetermined path. Obstacle avoidance and path planning algorithms has been tested using the completed design of AGR body.

Path Planning and Control of an Industrial Robot Used for Opening Tap Hole of an Electric Arc Furnace
The electric arc furnace (EAF) is one of the popular methods of steel production from steel scraps. The plasma arc is used in EAF to generate heat for melting scarp or direct reduced iron (DRI). The liquid metal is drained from the EAF through the tap hole. Nowadays, it is critical to use Automated/robotic tools for opening the tap hole with oxygen lancing. Because many workers have been blinde...
متن کاملDynamics modeling and stable gait planning of a quadruped robot in walking over uneven terrains
Quadruped robots have unique capabilities for motion over uneven natural environments. This article presents a stable gait for a quadruped robot in such motions and discusses the inverse-dynamics control scheme to follow the planned gait. First, an explicit dynamics model will be developed using a novel constraint elimination method for an 18-DOF quadruped robot. Thereafter, an inverse-dynamics...

The Robot Motion Planning (RMP) problem deals with finding a collision-free start-to-goal path for a robot navigating among workspace obstacles. Such a problem is also encountered in path planning of intelligent vehicles and Automatic Guided Vehicles (AGVs). In terms of kinematic constraints, the RMP problem can be categorized into two groups of Holonomic and Nonholonomic problems. In the first...
متن کاملNavigation of PIC based mobile robot using path planning algorithm
A robot is usually an electro-mechanical machine which is guided by computer or electronic programming. Conventional line tracer robots follow path in given map. In some kind of robots path is already store in its memory and it simply follows that path. When such types of robots are left to traverse through any random maze, these robots tend to traverse all possible paths every time having no f...
